This isn’t a garden. It’s a natural landscape near Kit Peak in Arizona (U.S.) in the spring. I wish I were this good at planting design. The photo was taken by University of Arizona ecology and environmental studies professor, Dan Papaj in 2003. The orange flower is annual Arizona Poppy (Kallstroemia grandiflora) and I don’t know what the grey grass is. Anybody know?
